About
Anna Bruun Kristiansen is a textile artist and weaver. Her work centers around exploring the possibilities within weaving and the potential of textiles in a spatial context. She examines how textiles can create transformable spaces and add flexibility to architecture. In her practice she investigates how transparency, colours and layers in interaction with light, movement and space can create dynamic and sensous experiences. In her practice, she also aims to challenge the industrialized craft by insisting on the work of the hands and the power and freedom that lies in mastering a craft. She is interested in how the temporal aspect in the making of a work is related to longevity.
