Curtains for Studio X Kitchen
Handwoven noren curtains made sitespecifically for the café Studio X Kitchen. They are woven with a technique called deflected double weave, which creates an illusion of two layers in the structure. The curtains have two different sides, they change both in pattern and colour, so that they can be turned to create a new setting. They have a graduating pattern which is mirrored, so it creates a centre in the middle, where you pass the curtains. In this project I also developed a series of placemats in the same kind of patterns, but in different colour ways - they can be purchased at the café.
